Bookworm

Whoa!

Not only has it been forever since I checked in with the blogosphere, but apparently it's been forever since the blogosphere (Blogger, I mean) has checked in with me. I just now discovered that during the time that I had no template I also received no notification of any comments that were left in the last week. They all flooded my in-box just now. I will respond as soon as I can.

  • I'm broiling Blogger in a witch's brew(no haha). Hope you have that template saved. It was very nice! TYT (take you time- I can't ever catch up, so relaaaaaaax.

  • Melon, welcome. Now the really key issue, for true pretentiousness is: are the quotes on your wall typed on an old manual typewriter? If not, then you're okay. By the way, I love your name. I have fantasized about a rock band where the members would have names like Collie Flower and Brock Lee and perhaps Q. Cumber.

Heh, Gel, please do (broil it, I mean). Nope, I didn't have it saved, which is why it's a little different now. I can't even find the paper that I wrote the hex numbers of my old colors on. Silken Threads isn't on Blogger, is it? How is that blog working for you?

  • Silken Threads is hosted by blog.com, so yes it is not hosted by blogger. I would not recommend it unless you wish to pay to have mroe bandwidth. (Blogger doesn't have a limit to bandwidth.)

Remember when you received that message that you couldn't access taht blog because of exceeded bandwidth? That was from them, not me. So, I paid $2.00 for this month only until I can back up the blog and code categories into my "Good Vibrations" blog. (It's $24/yr for 1 G of bandwidth), but you can't control who comes to your blog via Google, etc.... so the Free account with 250 MB/month is easily exceeded!

Otherwise, I love the category feature over there, it notifies you of comments via email, the link to the post is convenient, but I do NOT know if it will load quickly for photos or artwork. I've only put a couple up b/c I didn't want to exceed my bandwidth.

So, I'm combining that site with my current one. I'll code my own categories, etc. When I began that blog, I didn't have time to learn how to do that and I still need backup time!

Many people like "wordpress." I can't use it on our computer network here because its required software conflicts with software we use. I don't know if that would be the case for you. (probably not, but please investigate that on your own. I truly have no idea!)
